Personal Statement:

Are you looking to heal from past events and build a positive and healthy life? I work with teens 16+ and adults to help immediately reduce the discomfort showing up and then explore the underlying reasons for the presenting difficulties. Symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, substance use, grief/loss, and other challenges are often how your brain and body have been functioning to protect you. Once we understand these responses, we can choose to change them, regain a sense of control, and have an opportunity to be healthier and happier.

As an experiential therapist with a background in the emergency medical field, I employ a strengths-based, open approach based on cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy techniques. I am also EMDR trained and have 20 years of experience in trauma counseling. I specialize in working with first responders and healthcare professionals.
