I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in the mental health field. I have worked with children, parents, and families. I have worked with crisis clients and am interested in trauma work. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults who have experienced trauma and are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, increased anger, and life transitions.
I have experience and offer parent and family work. Most often using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with clients. I use a person-centered approach tailoring to each client’s individual needs combined with a strengths-based approach when working with clients.
I have previous experience in community-based settings. I previously led weekly adolescent DBT skills groups and social skills groups specific to youth diagnosed with Autism. This experience taught me how to be creative and learn how to adapt to multiple clients’ needs.
